Privacy policy
We know handing over your details to a small business run out of a home in Leppington, NSW can feel different to a big brand — so this explains exactly what we collect, why, and what say you have over it.
This Privacy Policy describes how Picky Pads ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase through pickypads.co (the "Site"), or otherwise communicate with us (together, the "Services"). "You" means anyone using the Services — customer, site visitor, or otherwise.
By using or accessing the Services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. We'll post the revised version here and update the date at the top.

(This list reflects the tools we currently use — check it against your actual stack before publishing, and update it as your tools change.)
We're not responsible for the accuracy of information provided to us by third parties, or for their own privacy practices — see "Third-party websites and links" below.
How we use your information
- To provide our Services — process payments, fulfil and ship orders, manage your account, handle returns/exchanges, respond to support requests, and let you post reviews.
- Marketing — with your consent where required, to send you emails, texts, or show you ads, including tailoring ads based on your activity on our Site and elsewhere.
- Security and fraud prevention — to detect and act on suspicious, fraudulent, or malicious activity. If you have an account, keep your login details private — contact us immediately if you think it's been compromised.
- Customer support and service improvement — responding to you and making the Site and Services better.
- Legal compliance — meeting our legal obligations, enforcing our terms, and protecting our rights, our customers, and our business.
Cookies
We use Cookies to run and improve the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how people use it. We also allow some third parties (like Meta and our analytics providers) to use Cookies on the Site for advertising and analytics purposes. For details on Cookies used to power our Shopify store, see shopify.com/legal/cookies.
Most browsers accept Cookies by default — you can change this in your browser settings, though blocking Cookies may affect how well the Site works for you.
How we disclose your information
We may share personal information with:
- Vendors and service providers who perform services for us — IT, payment processing, analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfilment and shipping (see the list above for our current key providers).
- Business and marketing partners, including Meta, to advertise to you and measure how well that advertising performs.
- Anyone you direct us to — e.g. shipping to an address you provide, or through your use of social logins/widgets.
- As required to comply with the law, respond to legal requests, enforce our terms, or protect our rights, our customers, or our business.
- In connection with a business transaction, such as a sale, merger, or restructuring of Picky Pads.
We do not sell or share sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.
For US customers — "sale" and "sharing" of information
Some US state privacy laws define certain advertising-related data sharing as a "sale" or "share" of personal information, even when no money changes hands. Over the past 12 months, we have shared the following categories with our business and marketing partners (such as Meta) for advertising purposes:
| Category | Shared with |
|---|---|
| Identifiers (contact details, order/account info) | Business and marketing partners |
| Commercial information (purchase history, shopping activity) | Business and marketing partners |
| Internet/network activity (site usage data) | Business and marketing partners |
If you'd like to opt out of this, see "Your rights and choices" below.
Reviews and other content you post
If you post a product review or other content on the Site, it may be publicly visible. We don't control who sees or uses information you choose to make public, and we're not responsible for how others handle it.
Third-party websites and links
The Site may link to other websites we don't operate or control. We're not responsible for their privacy or security practices — check their own policies before sharing information with them.
Children's data
Our Services aren't intended for children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us their information, contact us at hello@pickypads.co and we'll delete it.
Security and retention
No online security is perfect, and we can't guarantee it. We recommend not sending sensitive information to us through unsecured channels. We keep personal information for as long as we need it — to maintain your account, provide our Services, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal information
- Receive a copy of your information (portability)

We won't discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
